GEORGINA

Founder/Senior Physiotherapist/Women's Health Physio

Georgina has a broad range of experience in both public and private practice across various disciplines including inpatient maternity, acute medical and rehabilitation and holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Georgina is skilled in treating a wide range of presentations including musculoskeletal, women's and pelvic health, paediatric and NDIS clients through manual and exercise based therapies.

Her passion lies in the area of Women's and pelvic health where she works closely with women across the lifespan. Georgina understands the importance of a holistic approach while assisting women through their pregnancy, postnatal and return to exercise journey or help managing their bladder and bowel health. She is currently undergoing her Masters of Women's & Pelvic Health at the University of Melbourne.

Outside of physiotherapy Georgina enjoys heading out camping with friends, walking Alby (her dog) at the beach and enjoying an East Point sunset.

JACOB

Founder/Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Jacob is an experienced physiotherapist and Darwin local who holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Health Science, a Masters of Physiotherapy and a Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

He uses a proactive and collaborative approach with his patients and has a keen interest in treating musculoskeletal conditions, sporting injuries as well as pre/post-surgical and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Jacob utilises a hands-on methodology; incorporating trigger point therapy, mobilisation of stiff joints, joint manipulation, soft tissue release and dry needling/acupuncture.

 

Jacob will work with you on prevention strategies, strength and conditioning exercises and can provide individually targeted gym programmes for you. 

Outside physiotherapy, Jacob’s interests include enjoying everything the Territory has to offer outdoors especially spearfishing, camping and hiking. He stays active by playing touch rugby, indoor netball and challenging himself at CrossFit.

TYLA

Physiotherapist

Tyla completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at Charles Darwin University and a Master of Physiotherapy at Flinders University in South Australia. Tyla has gained physiotherapy experience within private practices and hospitals across the Northern Territory and South Australia. She has also worked in AFL, netball, soccer and distance running clubs. Tyla has a strong interest in sporting injuries, lower back pain, neurological conditions and post-surgical rehabilitation. 

Tyla’s approach to physiotherapy involves collaborating with her clients to provide treatments and programs specific to their personal goals and expectations. Tyla understands what it feels like to be limited in movement and impacted by pain which drives her desire to make a positive impact on others. Tyla loves all things ‘function’ and wants to help people to move and feel better in their everyday lives. Outside of the clinic, Tyla enjoys exploring the territory, catching some sun and keeping active.

STACEY

Senior Physiotherapist/ Women's Health Physio

Stacey is an experienced physiotherapist who has completed a Master of Physiotherapy, a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, and specialised training in Women’s Health Physiotherapy.

Stacey has a broad range of experience, beginning her career in private practice and working with sporting clubs in the SANFL, NEAFL, and NTFL. After completing her women’s health training, Stacey became passionate about assisting pregnant and postpartum women.

With her extensive training and diverse experiences, Stacey can help patients with a variety of musculoskeletal issues, sporting injuries, and women’s health concerns. She collaborates with you, employing a range of physiotherapy techniques, exercises, and personalised programs to help you achieve your goals.

Stacey is a Darwin local and might be a familiar face! She also operates an online business called Postbump, dedicated to supporting postpartum women on their journeys. In her spare time, she enjoys staying active through running, Pilates, and strength training, as well as spending quality time with friends and family.

MEG

Senior Physiotherapist/ Women's Health Physio

Meg has worked in both a public hospital and private practice since graduating university with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Master of Physiotherapy Practice at La Trobe University in Bendigo.

Since starting her career Meg has had a huge passion for women’s/pelvic health and particularly loves helping women throughout their pregnancy and post natal journeys. She has undertaken many courses including a post graduate certificate in pelvic floor physiotherapy through Melbourne Uni in 2022 (where she happened to meet Georgina). Meg has also done extra training in paediatric physiotherapy and has worked in musculoskeletal settings including post operative rehab.

Meg has also been taking Pilates classes for the past 4 years and loves using the reformers.

 

Meg comes from Swan Hill in Victoria and is very excited to check out the Northern Territory with her partner Corey. 

She enjoys running, netball, waterskiing and having a platter with friends.

KATELYN

 

Senior Physiotherapist/ Women's Health Physio

Katelyn is a territory local having done most of her growing up in Katherine, NT. She obtained a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at James Cook University, Townsville and has since worked in both the private and hospital sector. Katelyn has helped local, state and elite level athletes return to sport from a range of injuries. She has a keen interest in ACL reconstruction surgery, hamstring injuries, knee ligament injuries, ankle injuries and low back pain. Katelyn understands training load management and assures athletes return to sport at an optimal level. 

 

Katelyn's work with female athletes has grown her other passion in women's health. Katelyn has completed further training in this area and has a particular interest in incontinence, exercise during pregnancy, pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain and returning to activity post birth. Katelyn is also a qualified pilates instructor. In her free time you will find her training at the gym, swimming or camping with friends. 

JAMES

 

Physiotherapist

James holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Australian Catholic University in Brisbane. His professional journey has seen him gain valuable physiotherapy experience in both hospital and private practice settings across Queensland and the Northern Territory.

James has further honed his skills by contributing to the well-being of athletes in Rugby Union and Netball clubs in Brisbane. His focal areas of interest encompass the  management of sporting injuries, pre/post-surgical rehabilitation, and addressing neurological conditions.

Employing a collaborative and client centred approach, James tailors his treatments to align with the goals of each individual. He combines hands-on therapeutic techniques, targeted strengthening exercises, and personalised gym programs, all with a focus on prioritising the client's goals.

Outside physiotherapy, James maintains an active lifestyle. Playing rugby union, outdoor and indoor netball at a representative level, and participating in CrossFit. His personal interests include camping, skiing, and watching cricket.

Ihzel

 

Administration

Ihzel is dedicated to assisting you with any patient inquiries and creating a welcoming and positive experience on your journey to recovery. Ihzel holds a diploma in Business and is currently studying a Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Occupational Therapy at Charles Darwin University. She enjoys traveling and dancing. In her spare time, she loves to explore, try new activities and have delightful dinners with her friends and family.

Gia

 

Administration

 

Gia is currently studying Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Occupational Therapy at Charles Darwin University. As one of our receptionists, she is eager to assist you and your injury. Outside of work, Gia likes to spend time with her dogs, Charlie and Shelby. She also enjoys exploring Darwin's cafes, and loves to go out for brunch with friends. Gia is always happy to answer your questions and aims to better help our patients.
